This one-of-a-kind playground with a sand dune theme is designed to transport children to a creative and imaginative miniature desert landscape. With a variety of play features available, there is no shortage of amusement to be had.

Design & Inspiration
The organic and undulating forms of sand dunes, along with the unique textures and colors of desert landscapes, serve as the inspiration for this sand dune-themed playground.

Inspiration
The sand dune theme provides endless design inspiration for playgrounds, with its unique shapes, textures, and colors. The undulating forms of sand dunes can be replicated in climbing structures, tunnels, and mounds, providing children with a challenging and exciting play experience.

Proposed play elements
The play area includes a single tower and several play mounds, all of which are equipped with a variety of play elements, such as climbing nets, balancing components, and crawling structures, strategically placed throughout. The playground is designed with numerous routes for children to take, each with varying levels of difficulty to cater to a wide range of kids, making the playscape an enjoyable and challenging experience for all.

Design mood
The warm colors of sand, from beige to orange, can be used in play equipment, to create a cohesive look. With the sand dune theme, children can feel like they're in a desert oasis, where their imaginations can run wild.

Fabrication
At SkyResidence's Dawson playscape, safety is our primary concern. To ensure that all safety measures are thoroughly reviewed, third-party safety auditors are brought in during the engineering stage before the factory commences manufacturing.

Fabrication
Balau wood is used on the decking of the tower. Balau wood posts are used as a structure for the play tower and standalone play elements such as climbing hammocks and balancing rope.

Inspection
Safety inspections were conducted during installation to ensure the product quality were met.

Installation
Dry Fit was carried out before sending them out to the site to ensure that the parts fit perfectly.

Finished product
The sand dune concept offers endless possibilities for playground design, thanks to its distinctive shapes, textures, and hues. Play equipment such as slides and swings can be colored with warm shades of sand, ranging from beige to orange, to achieve a cohesive appearance. The play experience can be made challenging and stimulating by replicating the undulating forms of sand dunes in the form of climbing structures and mounds.

The gentle, flowing curves that weave between the mounds of the sand dune play area allow children to connect with the natural and rugged terrain of the environment.

The playscape boasts an array of play mounds that serve different functions, with some functioning as a playground terrain, while others are integrated with play elements like a spinner bowl.
