Situated within the beautiful Ritz Carlton Maldives on Fari Islands, there is a captivating play tower designed to resemble a waterspout. This tower, towering at a height of 5.8 meters, was constructed with the intention of maximizing the play area. It offers an awe-inspiring experience for children aged 6 to 12, featuring swinging hammocks and net climbers that allow them to ascend the tower. Additionally, there is a bridge and a slide where children can enjoy the thrill of spinning down at incredible speeds. To enhance the enjoyment, the tower also includes interactive walls with handholds and cavities.

Design & Inspiration
Located amidst a vast expanse of ocean, there exists a sizable play crater positioned at the heart of an island. This unique setting forms a secluded realm, providing children with the perfect environment to immerse themselves in joyful moments alongside their friends and family.
Inspiration
An immersed crater effectively isolates its surroundings, forming an imperceptible boundary that separates it from the external environment. This occurrence establishes a sanctuary for individuals seeking solace or desiring seclusion to attain mental clarity. This unique concept provides a secure haven, allowing children to fully engage in their play activities without concerns of external interference.
Proposed play elements
The play elements within a sunken crater emulate the intrinsic qualities of the surrounding cavities, incorporating their structures and textures. By faithfully reproducing these natural attributes, the playground stimulates imaginative play that not only ignites creativity but also envelops children in a secluded environment. This fosters a sense of isolation in play, allowing for valuable interactions and enjoyment with friends and family.
Design mood
Crafted to harmoniously blend with the island's natural environment, the crater playground exhibits a masterful integration of organic elements and materials, culminating in a captivating and immersive encounter. Through the utilization of indigenous flora, earth-toned hues, and purposeful terrain, this playground cultivates a profound bond with the island, captivating visitors of every age group.

Fabrication
Ensuring safety is our utmost concern throughout the development of The Ritz-Carlton Maldives. We engage safety auditors during the engineering phase to conduct thorough checks and inspections, verifying all necessary safety measures. This independent third-party evaluation takes place before manufacturing begins at the factory, guaranteeing the highest standards of safety are met.

Tying & weaving the armed rope net onto the structural part of the tower.

Safety inspections were conducted during installation to ensure the product quality were met.

Installation
Progress photos was sent by Kinetics to keep the client abreast of the production. Dry Fit was carried out at site to ensure that the parts fit perfectly.

Finished product
Intended to fashion a sunken crater within an island enveloped by expansive ocean, the playscape presents visitors with an enticing chance to immerse themselves in the exquisite seclusion of their environment. Nestled within this crater is a swirling tower that allows visitors to relish an elevated experience amidst the island's splendor.
Play Crater
The play crater serves as a tranquil retreat for children, nestled within an imperceptible barrier that offers moments of serenity. At the same time, children can revel in the adventure of exploring the swirling play tower, providing an opportunity to observe the play crater from above. As they navigate the undulating bridge and soak in the picturesque surroundings, it promises an enjoyable and memorable experience for the kids.

Featured play
Swirling play tower
The swirling play tower stands as the highest edifice within the play crater, encompassing a plastic tube slide, a platform with netting, and a wobbly bridge. These features collectively offer a secure and pleasurable way for children to ascend and descend from the pinnacle of the play tower.
Indoor playground
Families and young visitors are warmly welcomed to partake in the Ritz Kids program, which offers an immersive experience within the destination. Tailored for children aged 4 to 12, this program revolves around four key pillars: land, water, environmental responsibility, and culture. Through a thoughtfully curated schedule of daily activities, encompassing sports, arts and crafts, cooking classes, and beyond, guests can engage with these pillars. All of these experiences take place at the Ritz Kids Club, a visionary indoor-outdoor facility equipped with playgrounds, cozy napping pods, an area dedicated to video games and movies, and more.
