In the heart of Makati’s bustling city life, Ayala Triangle Gardens offers families a refreshing escape with a new playground the combines nature-inspired creativity with safe, child-friendly design. Featuring a majestic water buffalo for adventurous climbing and a bird-inspired play element for imaginative exploration, and connect with nature.
In the heart of Makati’s bustling city life, Ayala Triangle Gardens offers families a refreshing escape with a new playground the combines nature-inspired creativity with safe, child-friendly design. Featuring a majestic water buffalo for adventurous climbing and a bird-inspired play element for imaginative exploration, and connect with nature.
Inspiration
The playground design takes inspiration from two Philippine icons the Carabao and the Rufous Hornbill reimagined through an origami-inspired aesthetic that blends cultural heritage with modern design. The Carabao symbolizes strength and resilience, while the Hornbill celebrates biodiversity and creativity, together creating a play space that connects nature, culture, and imagination.

Process

Fabrication
Meticulous calculations were employed in crafting the main post, prioritizing stability to uphold the integrity of the structure.

Inspection
Safety and quality inspections were carried out during fabrication process to verify that product quality standards were met.

Installation
Kinetics sent visual updates to the client to maintain transparency on the progress of production. On-site dry fitting procedures were meticulously executed to guarantee exact part alignment and seamless integration.
DESIGN
The finished playground showcases a harmonious blend of nature, culture, and modern design. The faceted, origami-inspired structures of the Carabao and Hornbill stand out as sculptural landmarks within the lush greenery of Ayala Triangle Gardens. Their geometric forms and earthy tones complement the park’s natural surroundings, while playful pathways, slides, and climbing elements create an inviting environment that encourages exploration and interaction for children of all ages.

Origami Carabao
Symbolizing the strength and resilience of Filipino culture, the carabao serves as a tribute to the Philippines’ rich agricultural heritage. Its faceted, origami-inspired form reflects modern design while honoring tradition. The sculptural structure invites children to climb, slide, and explore, embodying the enduring Filipino spirit of hard work and perseverance.

Origami Hornbill
Inspired by the Philippine Rufous Hornbill (Kalaw), this play element celebrates the country’s biodiversity. With its distinct casque and vivid form, the hornbill design symbolizes balance within tropical ecosystems. The origami aesthetic ties into the playground’s modern nature theme, encouraging children to engage in imaginative play and appreciate wildlife in a creative way.
