Climbing Parcour

Overview

The Climbing Parcour is an elevated adventure playground designed to challenge agility, strength, and imagination. Rising nearly five meters above ground, it features interconnected cocoon pods that serve as crossing points, lounging areas, and lookout platforms all at once. The pods are linked by dynamic climbing tunnels that curve in a figure-eight formation, offering multiple entry and exit points. With varying heights and routes, the structure invites children of all ages to explore at their own pace. By elevating the play system, the footprint on the ground is minimized, leaving the space below open and accessible.

Inspiration

The Climbing Parcour takes inspiration from abstract modern 3D triangular forms, transforming sharp geometry into an adventurous play experience. The interlocking angles and dynamic shapes reflect the bold aesthetics of contemporary architecture, reimagined as a sculptural playscape that challenges movement, balance, and creativity.

Design

The design emphasizes verticality and interconnected play. Four elevated cocoon pods act as nodes within the parcours, each offering unique play and rest opportunities. Spiral climbing tunnels connect the pods in an adventurous circuit, encouraging children to crawl, climb, and navigate diverse routes. The figure-eight layout adds fluidity and variety, ensuring continuous movement and exploration. Constructed with a raised design, the Climbing Parcour not only maximizes play value but also preserves open space beneath, allowing multifunctional use of the area.
