Inspiration

Inspired by the migratory birds that visit Bandar Seri Coalfields, the Woodpecker Play Tower reflects the town’s rich natural environment of greenery and wetlands. Species such as egrets, herons, sandpipers, and woodpeckers highlight the importance of natural habitats as resting and feeding grounds during migration. This design celebrates biodiversity and aims to foster early awareness of wildlife and environmental preservation through play.

The play tower is shaped as a stylized woodpecker integrated with a tree trunk, translating natural forms into a bold, child-friendly structure. Climbing routes, crawl-through spaces, lookout windows, stepping elements, and a tube slide are seamlessly integrated to support varied play experiences. Natural color tones and textured surfaces reflect the surrounding landscape, while clear sightlines and durable materials ensure a safe, engaging, and visually striking play environment.
